  • No cheating or use of bots / engines
  • Respect every player at the table
  • Spectrum Games may disqualify any player
  • Stable internet connection required
  • Platform decisions are final

Game-specific rules

  • Played in teams of 2 (partnerships sit opposite each other)
  • Objective: be the first team to reach the target score (typically 1000)
  • Special calls: Tichu and Grand Tichu — bid bold, score big
  • Standard 56-card deck plus 4 special cards (Mahjong, Dog, Phoenix, Dragon)
  • No table talk or signaling between partners during a hand
  • Objective: create valid combinations — sets and sequences
  • Use of jokers where applicable, per the official ruleset
  • Win condition: empty your hand or hold the highest score at end of round
  • Fast-paced rounds with strict turn timers
  • Disconnects under 60 seconds auto-rejoin; longer = forfeit hand
  • Standard international backgammon rules apply
  • Dice-based movement with verified RNG on Spectrum Games
  • Played 1 vs 1
  • Win condition: Bear off all your checkers before your opponent
  • Match length scales by round — qualifiers shorter, finals longer
  • Time control: 45 seconds per move
